Wood Work

The first project was Manjur  a piece of a Roshan . What is a Roshan ? The Roshan is a wooden bay window in old town Jeddah, a symbol of the historical Hijazi traditional houses in the area. The Roshan is a smart well crafted window structure which provides privacy, air flow, and light to the house. It includes detailed wooden Arabesque, wooden stacks unglued and environment friendly (Manjur) creates a beautiful geometric pattern, and designs of flowers.  

The next project is hand crafted Parquetry 

A geometric mosaic wooden pieces designed from different types of wood.

 inspired by the Islamic geometry in Al Balad.
